Kris Kringle 2011

It's tradition in my family. We did Kris Kringle during advent. It means, we are praying to each other. And on Christmas Eve, we will reveal who we prayed and give a present to that person.

My mom got Mama Odie
Xander got Otiting
(Otiting received two Kris Kringle presents, one from Xander and one from my big sister because my big sister helped Xander to pray for Otiting)

Inai got me :)
Jojo got Darling (but Darling is in France)
Darling got grandma (Darling represented by Inai)
Grandma got Osel

Mama Odie got Grandpa
Grandpa got Nico (but he is in France)
My big bro got Inai
Odie got my big bro
My big sister got Jojo

Welcome 2012

How time flies so fast. It's been a year I didn't update my blog. My family had a tough year last year. Those who are close to us should know the reason why.

This blog was created for 'somebody' who was staying away from home. But that somebody is no longer be able to read my blog :( I don't know whether I should continue this blog or not. But alas, I received many requests to continue blogging. This blog is for family affair. I gained nothing. Not even to gain popularity.

Ok fine! I'll try and continue this blog. I still have relative who is staying abroad. Although we skype with her every night but it's not the same reading news from home.

For this entry, I post our Advent 2011 prayers.

Week 1 - at my uncle's house in Kendara

Week 4 - at my grand-parents' house
we had a blackout that night and it was a 'silent night, holy night' moment
we were very fortunate that night, coz the sisters from DSP and their group visited us

after the prayer, we had a small gathering
to celebrate the birthday of my cousin, Xander

To end this post, I would like to take this opportunity to my family and relatives, a very blessed, fruitful and prosperous New Year 2012!

Advent Prayer - 3rd Week & 4th Week

On the third week of Advent
we did our advent prayer at Odie's house

they asked a few questions to which sister answered them all

Advent Prayer - 1st Week & 2nd Week

This year my family change the format of our advent prayer. Usually we do it at grand-ma's house. But this year, it will be rotated amongst the family.

The first week was done at our home:

The second week advent prayer was done at Kendara, Otiting's house. I like it this way because we can visit houses. Nice change ;)

Kris Kringle 2010

It's Kris Kringle again! The most awaited event in our family.

Since the 1st Sunday of Advent falls on the 28th November 2010 and my sister and cousin will be very busy their exams then, we did the draw of Kris Kringle on the 16th November 2010 where we had a family rosary before that.

Bapa Tua was not around that night, so Mama Tua helped him to draw his. The last ballot is for Sr. Sylvia, who is in the Philippines.
